What is the Jordan Institute?  
        The Jordan Institute is a non-advocacy, science-based 501(c)3 organization which provides impartial information, collaboration, and education which, when applied, will result in healthy ecosystems, healthy people, and a healthy economy.
 
What is the New Hampshire Minimum Impact Development Partnership (NHMID)?
  The NH Minimum Impact Development Partnership (NHMID) began in 1999, and is a program of The Jordan Institute. NHMID is a public / private partnership among development interests to define and encourage "good development" which will retain our quality of life as the state grows. The Partnership has created general principles, key and detailed practices, and now is working on pilot projects throughout New Hampshire. NHMID integrates ecological design, energy efficiency, pollution prevention, indoor environmental quality, and community character in site and building design, construction, and operation and maintenance.
 
What is Good Development?
  We promote "good development", or the integration of ecological design, energy efficiency, pollution prevention, and indoor environmental quality in site and building design, construction, operation, and maintenance. This integrates the green, the built, and the social infrastructures of our state and its communities.
